My how quickly the roller coaster took off!
The beginning of this school year has been UP.....it has been DOWN.....it has taken me SIDE to SIDE....I mean whoosh!
Well here is the view from my new dorm! Yep That's right, I had to move out of the first dorm. I had roommates having sex sleepovers, and having strange men I don't know go through my personal stuff. (see it's ok if they are strange, but I know them, then it's alright )

This was taken one afternoon after I got out of my last class they were having drum line practice. Can you say, Sexy, Sleek, Super-hot Trumpet Players 10 times fast ?

I know I'm home when I can see the Mountains! Ugh! I love 'em!
My second roommate moved out because she was paying for a single, and they moved me in with her, so she is now moved into a new home. I miss her, she was cool!
Let's see what the future holds now...

All in all, I think I'm gonna be ok at my new school. I'm discovering that I am passionate about things I never knew I would be passionate about. I Love that I have this second chance! I have met some new friends, it's hard not being able to just ask someone, "Wanna play hands-up-stands-up at recess ?" I bet if I did that here I would get some strange looks....Maybe that's what's wrong with my brain, too many hands-up-stands-up games! LoL!

Saturday morning, bright and early my darling friend did something AMAZING! She ran a 5k ! The cause was "Love your Body" What a wonderful cause! women today struggle so much with their bodies, always feeling like they need to be thinner, and in some rare cases, some women can't gain wait, and the sadness and frustration that comes from being unhappy in our own skin is a daily fight for some... Mandee, you are fabulous ! I am very proud of you! So this is

Mandeekins before the race!

Mandee almost to the Finish Line!!!

Saturday I also got to see Jenn ! I almost NEVER get to see these two amazing women at the same time! It was fabulous to see both! I love them so much!!!

Saturday was so neat for me! I was looking around at all these wonderful women who are supporting a cause that, in the kind of world we live in today is SO important! I was overwhelmed by the Girl Power! I LOVED it! Mandee, excellent job!

Second Chances!

It's rare in life to ever have a second chance at something!
When I was 18 I graduated high school and I went straight to College. I took my full ride scholarship, and ran! I was so excited to be going to school, I lived with 5 other girls in college dorms and I actually knew one from High school. The other 4 I didn't know.

My roommate's name was Erin. She was my same age, and from a very small town in southern Utah. Erin was not a nice girl, she was a bit on the slutty side, and would walk around our dorm wearing nothing but underwear and a wife-beater under shirt type thing, with NO bra! Whenever we had friends over she would just walk right out and be sitting there, ugh! it was so gross and uncomfortable!

I left school, and my scholarship to go work for Disney World. I didn't know that doing so would throw me so far off course, but with out going into detail, It has been 4 years since I was back in a classroom. It only took abusive boyfriends, failed work endeavors, depression, etc. etc. to get me back to where I started!
I moved into my new home Aug. 21, 2009 !

This is my bed that I will probably rarely be sleeping in! late night cram sessions!

This is me being over the Moon about being a College Student Again! World! here I come!

And this is my closet! YAY! it's so teeny tiny! But It's my College closet so I LOVE it no matter what!

The Quirks

I Sing at the top of my lungs to the radio in the car.
I love rain, I go outside when it rains and I sit in my swing on the porch, just to be in it.
I adore black and white photography. Especially black and white with color accent's.
I like to pump gas, I think the gasoline smells good. I know, weird.
I love the feel of new socks.
I love old men, and I mean OLD men, because they always tell me how pretty I am.
I love to go grocery shopping.
I'm terrified to have kids.
I can watch brain surgery and eat a piece of pizza at the same time.
I love to dance.
I will burst into song at any moment.
I can quote movies after seeing them once.
I am scared to light fireworks.
I never sleep on Christmas Eve, no matter what age I am.
I like writing letters.
I am usually really loud.
I have one incredibly obnoxious laugh
I really like milk, but rarely drink it for some reason.
I will always feel not good enough, always.
I can't bowl to save my life.
I hate golf, and Tennis.
I don't like watching baseball on TV, but going to watch a game is fun.
I actually don't watch a lot of TV.
I desperately wish I could play the guitar.
*I reserve the right to add, or change this list whenever I want, because I am sassy like that**

Saying Good Bye!

I have a really close friend who has decided to give up her favorite Almond Poppy Seed Muffins! When I read this, It inspired me to give up my wonderful delicious Dr. Pepper addiction as well! Soda is so bad for our bodies in so many ways, but Oh how I love Dr. Pepper! Let me count the ways! It's sweet nectar has spent many a day keeping my taste buds content! But now, I must do the most difficult thing of all......I must say good bye!

I know it will be difficult, what will I do when I have that first with drawl.....? thinking about Dr. Pepper right now is making me thirsty...Uh oh! Good thing I'm not giving up chocolate, I think that might kill me! Oh well, I am taking that first step to a healthier body, and I need to just take baby steps! Baby steps, put down the soda, Baby steps, put the lid back ON the bottle, Baby steps put the bottle back in the Fridge, Baby steps, walk away from the fridge, Baby steps, GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!!!! :-)

I think Dr. Pepper addicts should get button after, a month, six months, a year of being clean! Are there any support groups I can join ? "Hello, My name is Lacie and I am a Soda-Holic" "Hello Lacie."
